An email to a good friend thanking her for a casual weekday dinner.

L_As always, spending time with you is heaven. Friendship, therapy, fun, food, and wine. Perfect. Thank you so much for having me and W over! We both left with big smiles on our faces knowing how lucky we are to have friends like you. E x

Lately, I’ve been sending more email thank you’s as long as the events are casual + with close friends. I have to say, while I still wouldn’t choose email for formal occasions, email has an added benefit when sent to good friends. The fun response.

Good friends of ours just had their second baby. She’s adorable, they’re exhausted. So in lieu of making them trek over to pick up a left-behind bottle from a fun Sunday get-together, I made a little drive-by this morning. {Why not include a sweet little note with all life’s otherwise mundane errands?} Hi Kramers_Thought Julia could use this. :) Sounds like Sunday was loads of fun. Sorry I missed out. Hope you guys are hanging in there on the sleep front. Thinking of you! xo E,C&W
